Jason James Cook, 29, of Midland, died Tuesday evening, Oct. 4, 2011, at the MidMichigan Medical Center. He was born Feb. 8, 1982, in Clare, son of Mark Behr of Lansing and Carrie (Schnepp) Keeley of Beaverton. Jason was a 2000 graduate of Beaverton High School, very spiritual, and had been an accomplished musician in the mid-Michigan area for the past 12 years.

On Aug. 1, 2009, he married the former Lynnshea M. Yager, she survives him. He is also survived by a son, Darian Cook, and daughter, Aliah Cook, both at home; sisters, Savannah Cook of Beaverton, Renee (David) White of Lakeview, Abby (Steve) Scherzer, and Tricia Keeley all of Midland; three nieces, and one nephew. In addition to his parents, Mark and Carrie, he is survived by his father, Gene Cook; and stepfather, Dennis Keeley, both of Beaverton; grandparents, Eileen Behr and R. Douglas Behr of Midland, and Joyce Schnepp of Beaverton.
