John Michael East, 49, of Lacey, WA was in the company of his loving family when he passed away unexpectedly from complications of pneumonia on January 5, 2014. John is preceded in death by his father, William Vincent East. He is survived by his wife, Deanna East, her sons, Alex and Sebastian Wilkinson, his daughters, Laura and Mickey East and their mother, Teresa Dominic, his mother, Joanne East, of West Covina CA, and his siblings Patty Amato, Tim East, Carol East, Lory Kelley, Tom East, Judy East, Dan East, Bob East, Christina East and many special brothers and sisters in law, nieces and nephews. John is also survived by a community of loving friends and partners with whom he connected deeply. John's adventurous and humorous spirit will be missed by all who knew him. He stood for freedom, passion, love and full self-expression. He encouraged everyone around him to live a life that they loved. There will be a memorial and reception to celebrate John's life at Timberline High School on Saturday, January 18, 2014, at 2pm. All are welcome. There will be a potluck reception to follow.
