A 20-year-old man has been re-arrested in a murder investigation after a teenage boy died in intensive care from stab wounds.

Connor Tremble, 17, was stabbed on Thursday evening and was in a critical condition in intensive care.

Yesterday morning, his heartbroken family was forced to turn off his life support machine after medics said there was nothing more they could do.

The teenager was stabbed following 'an incident' in Oxford at 6.45pm on Thursday, police said.
It was understood the teenager, originally from Banbury, Oxfordshire, had recently moved to Oxford and had been living at the address where he was stabbed.

Officers arrested a 20-year-old man from Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire, on suspicion of GBH.

He was rearrested on suspicion of murder after Connor died.

A 21-year-old man from Birmingham was arrested yesterday on suspicion of assisting an offender and he also remained in police custody.

Tributes to Connor, a pupil at Blessed George Napier School, have flooded a Facebook page called Justice for Connor Tremble in just a few hours.

Shelby Delaney wrote: 'Rest in peace baby and fly high with them beautiful wings love you so xxx...'

Joffan Stear wrote: 'R.I.P bruv ur guna b missed by millions.'

Detective Chief Inspector Mark Glover, of Thames Valley Police's Major Crime unit, said: 'Thames Valley Police has launched a murder investigation and I would appeal to anyone with any information about this incident to contact police.

'I would like to reassure members of the community that a team of detectives are working hard to establish the circumstances of what happened and we now have two people in custody in connection with the incident.

'This is not believed to be a random attack however we continue to have an open mind and enquiries are ongoing to attempt to establish the motive.'
