Summary: The decedent was a single, 53-year-old, Caucasian male who resided in a home in the city of Oceanside. On the evening of 02/26/2014, he was a pedestrian crossing Cassidy Street at the ISR 5 overcrossing when he was struck by a vehicle traveling westbound. Witnesses called 911 and when paramedics arrived, he was transported to Tri-City Medical Center with advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) in progress. Despite aggressive resuscitative efforts, he could not be revived and death was pronounced in the ED.
