Jessica L. Matako, 28 of Coldwater passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at the University of Michigan Hospital, Ann Arbor.

She was born November 15, 1985 in Jackson, the daughter of Albert and Norma (Powell) Augustine. Jessica graduated from Pennfield High School and proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. She worked for three years as a utility line locator for U.S.I.C. (United States Infrastructure Company). Jessica loved baking, and sharing her treats with everyone. She enjoyed reading and crocheting, but most of all spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband of eight years, Jacob Matako; children, Nathaniel, Micaela and Tyler Matako all of Coldwater; parents, Albert and Norma Augustine; brother, David Augustine all of Battle Creek; sisters, Carrie (Gary) Triestram of Bellevue, Cheryl (George) Mayo of Montrose, and Anna (Ricky) Reed of Holland; maternal grandmother, Mary Powell of Battle Creek; father and mother-in-law, Andrew and Cindy Matako of Marshall. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 9, 2014 from 3:00 until 5:00 and Monday, March 10, 2014 from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00- 8:00 at Shaw Funeral Home, 2838 Capital Avenue S.W.

Funeral services will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at the funeral home, with Pastor Les Seal, Harper Creek Baptist Church officiating.
Interment, Hicks Cemetery, Pennfield Township.
