Samuel Colton Alt, 20, of New Creek, WV, died Saturday, June 23, 2012 as the result of injuries sustained in a vehicle accident.

Born on May 28, 1992 at Petersburg, WV, he was a son of Frankie Allen Alt of New Creek and Kimberly L. Holland of Petersburg. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Harlen and Mary Frances Alt.

Samuel was a 2011 graduate of Keyser High School and was employed as a welder with Pro-Stainless in Keyser. He attended the Maysville Bible Brethren Church in Maysville, WV. He was an avid outdoorsman, hunter and fisherman and his passion in life was coon hunting and his blue tick hounds. Two of his blue ticks, Gypsy and Jaeger also died in the same accident.

Surviving, in addition to his parents are his stepmother, Tammy Fields of New Creek; his stepfather, Mark Redman of Petersburg; maternal grandparents, Marvin and Ocie Holland of Keyser, WV; two sisters, Autumn Marie Alt of New Creek and Michaela T. Roby of Petersburg; four uncles, Sam Kuh of Petersburg, Fred Kuh and wife Nellie of Burlington, WV, Rory Kuh and wife Wanda of Maysville and Barry Holland and wife Laura of Keyser; three aunts, Karen Peterson and husband Bob of New Creek, Connie Kuh of Oakland, MD and Robin Kuh. Also surviving is a nephew, Breyden Alt and a large number of cousins.

Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Friday, June 29, 2012 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Saturday, June 30, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Lynn Durbin officiating.

Interment will be in the Pancake Cemetery, New Creek, WV.
