Melisa Renee' Monceaux, 18, of Merryville, Louisiana passed from this life on December 13, 2011 in Lafayette, Louisiana.
Melisa was a 2011 graduate of Merryville High School.
Survivors include: her parents of Merryville; her mother of Marksville, Louisiana; five brothers; one sister of Merryille and paternal grandmother of Effie, LA. She is preceded in death by her grandparents: Enola Toureau, Ray Toureau and Jerry Burlew.
Funeral services were Saturday, December 17, 2011 at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder. Bro. Jacob Crawford officiated. Burial followed at Old Cypress Cemetery in DeRidder.
The family would like to express a special thanks to the nurses and staff at Children's Hospital in New Orleans, floor 4 west, especially Dr. Maria Velez.
In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society's Patrick F. Taylor Hope Lodge in New Orleans, LA.
