A 10-year-old Wellington, Mo., girl was killed in a crash in Lafayette County, the Missouri Highway Patrol reported.

Kristen Wrisinger was pronounced dead at Children's Mercy Hospital after the crash at U.S. Highway 24 and Missouri Highway 224 late Saturday afternoon.

According to the crash report, Wrisinger was in a car that pulled into the path of another vehicle. The other vehicle hit Wrisinger's car on the rear passenger side.

Three people in the other vehicle, including a 5-year-old girl, were taken to hospitals after the crash. Their injuries are not considered life-threatening, troopers said.
