There were 3 vehicles involved in this crash. One was driven by Jeffrey Grose, and the other one seriously impacted by a head-on collision was operated by Michael Boulton. Daron Butzlaff only had a minor role in this accident. Passenger Jackie Boulton is the woman who died. Grose and Michael Boulton were injured, and Butzlaff was unharmed.

Grose is 43 and from Shoreview, Minnesota. The Boulton victims are from Watkins, MN. Michael is 35, and Jackie was 38. Butzlaff is from St. Cloud, Minnesota.

This incident was in Cass County, Minnesota. According to the StarTribune, it was near the town of Pillager. The street location was Highway 64, and it occurred at about 2 in the afternoon, on Saturday, April 19, 2014.

Police think that Grose crossed the center line in a Ford F-150 pickup truck. He sideswiped Butzlaff but then had a hard collision with the Boulton vehicle.

During the investigation, the StarTribune says that police believe Grose had been drinking alcohol. If it can be shown that Grose crossed the center line because he had been drinking, that would be a solid theory of negligence in the making.

Regardless of any fault determinations and possible lawsuits, the insurance companies will most likely provide PIP benefits to both of the Boulton victims and even to Grose.
