The man who was once named the Guinness World Record "world's fattest human being" has died in Mexico aged 48.
Manuel Uribe weighed 558kg when he took the title in 2006, but had since slimmed down to 393kg.
A health department official confirmed Mr Uribe died on Monday in the city of Monterrey where he lived but the certified reason for his death has not been released.
Uribe was confined to his bed for many years because he was unable to walk on his own.
He was taken to hospital by crane earlier this month because of an abnormal heartbeat.
In 2013, Mexico was named by the UN as the world's fattest nation. The US, New Zealand and Australia were the next fattest nations.
