Cincinnati Police Chief Jeffrey Blackwell said Monday night he is "pretty certain" missing University of Cincinnati student Brogan Dulle was found dead inside a vacant building just feet from his apartment.

Blackwell said he believes Dulle died from "self-inflicted wounds" and no foul play is suspected. Police sources said, and Blackwell confirmed, they believe Dulle was found hanging from inside the building.

Authorities said they are 98 percent the body is Dulle, but the Hamilton County Coroner will likely use dental records to identify him.

A large police presence remained throughout the night at the building on 173 East McMillan St. in Clifton Heights. Dulle's apartment, where he was last seen May 18, is next door at 179 East McMillan St.

Police officials said they tried to check the building earlier, and a Criminal Investigations Section commander walked through the area Saturday. He said the building was locked.

Authorities said the body was found by a landlord who came to check on the property.

Authorities arrived there to investigate at about 9 p.m.

After Blackwell's announcement, an emotional crowd formed outside the building.
