Lori L. "LuuLuu" Gerst, 41, of Waterloo, died Saturday, May 10, 2014 at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home following a long battle with cancer.

Lori Lynn Gerst was born December 18, 1972 in Waterloo, Iowa the daughter of Gary and Janice Gray Gerst. She graduated from Dunkerton High School in 1991. Lori was employed and currently working at Grainger Supply for the past 17 years.

Lori loved her family and friends and would help them out no matter when or what time. Lori loved her job at Grainger and considered all of her co-workers as her family.

Lori is survived by her mother and step father Janice (Kevin) Parker of Waterloo; her father and step mother Gary (Donna) Gerst of Waterloo; a brother Troy (Denise) Gerst of Waterloo; 3 step brothers and 2 step sisters. She is also survived by grandmothers Jenny Gray of Evansdale and JoAnn Parker of Waterloo; her fiancé Danny Goldsberry of Waterloo; many other family members and loved friends and her special little furry friend Lynx.
