Palmer Elias David Weddle, 14, of Pana died Friday, July 20, 2012 in Pana Community Hospital.
He was born December 24, 1997 in Taylorville, IL, the son of Elias & Marie Sarver Weddle. Palmer was going into his Freshman year at Pana High School this fall. He liked the outdoors, and enjoyed deer hunting and fishing. He worked for J-W Produce.
Palmer was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Pana where he was an alter boy and sang in the youth choir; P.S.R.; Star Scout in Boy Scout Troop 99; Pana Fire Department Explorers Post 2277; and had served as Junior High FFA President for 2 years.
He is survived by his parents: Elias & Marie Weddle, Pana; sister: Lucy Weddle, brothers: Creo Weddle & Montgomery Weddle all at home; grandparents: Frances Sarver and Gene & Sue Weddle all of Pana; aunts & uncles: Rodney Sarver & friend Melinda, Pana; Dwain Sarver, Pana; Rebecca Reed & husband Craig, Assumption; Mike Weddle & friend Barb, Oconee; Greg Weddle & wife Susan, Pana; Lisa Bland & husband Ken, Pana; Amy Houser & husband Larry, Pana; Aurelia Weddle, Pana; and Monista Weddle, Pana; and by several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather Larry Sarver; grandmother Dorothy Weddle; brother Brian Weddle; uncles Steve Weddle, Todd Weddle and Tim Weddle.
