A man who was fatally stabbed Wednesday night during a fight on a City Heights street has been identified as 23-year-old Anthony Inzerilli Jr.

San Diego police said that shortly after 11 p.m. on Wednesday officers found Inzerilli unconscious and bleeding from stab wounds to his upper body.

He died the next day at a hospital.

Homicide investigators on Thursday arrested three men in connection with the stabbing that had followed "an altercation with several males and females" in the street on Ridge View Drive, near Laurel Street, Lt. Paul Rorrison said.

Arrested and jailed on one count of murder were Monty Dashon Jackson, 26; Marlin Wayne Jackson, 35; and Anthony Erten Hayes, 36.

One neighbor on Ridge View, Mitchell Vassiliou, described the victim as friendly and helpful. He said Inzerilli grew up in the neighborhood and would do yardwork and other chores locally.

"I've known him since he was 5 years old. He would play with my son; they grew up together," Vassiliou said. "He was a happy-go-lucky kid. Just a friendly kid."
