Authorities say a 14-year-old boy has died after he apparently fell through ice in western Michigan.
The Grand Haven Tribune and MLive.com report an Ottawa County sheriff's deputy on Tuesday found Carter Dyke in Millhouse Bayou.
The Grand Haven Township boy's parents had organized a search party and called deputies when he didn't return from walking from their home that day. The deputy who found Carter as walking a route the boy would have taken between his home and a gas station.
Authorities say the boy was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
