Relatives discovered a 26-year-old man fatally shot inside a home in southeast Fort Worth early Wednesday, hours after his car had been found burning.

The man was identified as Kendal Craddock by the Tarrant County medical examiner's office Thursday.

No arrest has been made, police said.

Craddock's body was found shortly before 5:30 a.m. Wednesday in the kitchen of a home in the 3700 block of Ruthann Drive. About three hours earlier, firefighters had responded to a blaze involving Craddock's Dodge Charger in the 7200 block of Lowery Road.

According to a police report, arson investigators believe that someone doused the car's interior with a combustible substance and ignited it. The secluded road in east Fort Worth is about 61/2 miles from the home where Craddock's body was found.

Homicide Sgt. Joe Loughman declined to say whether Craddock lived at the home or release other details, citing the ongoing investigation.
