Lori Denise (Evans) Foss, 41, of West Yarmouth died on Monday, January 19, 2015 at Massachusetts General Hospital following a courageous battle with cancer. She was the wife of Gregg W. Foss for five years. Born in Troy and raised in North Greenbush, Lori was the daughter of Dennis and Judy (Pfeiffer) Evans of North Greenbush. She was a graduate of Columbia High School in East Greenbush, where she was a member of the National Honor Society. She was also a graduate of Hudson Valley Community College in Troy. Lori was a member of the Blooming Grove Reformed Church in DeFreestville, and for many years played for the Classie Lassies Girls Softball League in Wynantskill. Lori moved to Cape Cod in 1995. She worked as a customer service rep. for the W. Vernon Whiteley Plumbing and Heating Company in Chatham. At the time of her death, Lori was starting up a small travel business from her home. She was an avid reader, Lori enjoyed music, and traveling. In addition to her husband and parents, Lori is survived by a stepdaughter, Bridget Foss of West Yarmouth; her siblings, Sara and Paul Evans, both of Troy; several aunts and uncles; and many cousins. She was pre-deceased by a sister, Linda Clark. Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral service Sunday, January 25, 2015, at 6 p.m., from the Rockefeller Funeral Home, 165 Columbia Tpk., Rensselaer. Interment will be in Blooming Grove Cemetery. Friends and relatives are invited to her calling hours prior to the funeral from 4-6 on Sunday.
