Sacramento police have identified a man who they believe was stabbed and killed by his roommate Monday night at a Natomas apartment complex Monday night.

Zachary Kane, 23, was stabbed multiple times inside a unit at a complex just off of Arena Boulevard just before 11 p.m. He was rushed to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

During a preliminary investigation, detectives identified Aaron Ramzy, 24, as a suspect in the homicide, police said.

Ramzy is described as a black man, about 6 feet 2 inches tall, weighing 160 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Police said he was last seen wearing a red flannel shirt, jeans and a yellow and black beanie. Ramzy may have left the scene riding a red Schwinn bicycle, police said.

Detectives are still trying to determine what lead to the fatal altercation between these roommates.
