Layne passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 28th of natural causes. He was born in Vancouver ,WA and graduated from Columbia River High School in 1977.
Layne married the love of his life, Becky, on August 8, 2009 and together shared many wonderful times together. He loved camping and dirt bike riding in Bend, Oregon with his family and friends. Layne was always mechanically inclined and of course became a fabulous mechanic. He worked for many years at Ron's Automotive & RV. Layne was always quick to help anyone out and was always just a phone call away. To those who knew him he will forever be missed dearly.
He is survived by his wife, Becky; daughter, Tiffany Decknadel; step-daughter, Shianna Ames; step-son, Bradley Ames; grandsons, Ayden Decknadel and Miles Ames; his father, Arnold Decknadel; brother, Rick Decknadel; sisters, Patricia Astor and Melissa Goin; his best friend, Kurt Anderson; and numerous nieces and nephew and extended family.
His family invites you to join them in celebrating Layne's life on March 7, 2015 at the Luepke Senior Center located at 1009 E. McLoughlin Blvd. in Vancouver from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
