According to the medical examiner the victim in Wednesday's deadly plane crash has been identified.

Tom Baber, 67, crashed his plane Wednesday afternoon. The plane was a scaled down version of a World War II plane.

According to firefighters, the initial call came in from a cell phone from someone in the area around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.

SAFD said that evening there were no possible survivors. They could not confirm how many people were on board but did say there was at least one person, the pilot.

The NTSB and FAA arrived Thursday to begin an investigation.

Neighbors and friends that spoke about Baber to Eyewitness News said he was an experienced pilot that loved flying.

Information on Baber's funeral has not been made available.
