The Grace Culture Church in Guyton held a prayer vigil on Sunday afternoon for Carly Craven, who died in a vehicle related accident on Wednesday.

Craven was a 16-year-old student at South Effingham High school and her death has had an effect on many people in the community.

"The one thing I always hear from everybody is that her smile was contagious," said Student Ministry Pastor Matt Rahn. "She had a huge smile. The kids loved her, so we wanted to celebrate her life tonight. "

The church's youth pastor spoke with friends and family members during the prayer vigil to provide encouragement during this time of bereavement. A collection for the family was also held after the prayer vigil.

Carly will be laid to rest on Monday afternoon. Visitation will begin at 1;30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Springfield and will be followed by a funeral service.
