Alexcia S. Biggs, age 18, of Highland, IN passed away Saturday, May 19, 2012 at Riley Children's Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. Alexcia was a member of the Mizpah Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Gary, IN where she received Christ at a very early age, and was a student at Highland High School until she became ill. Survived by parents: Brian (Riddia) Biggs, Sr. of Highland, IN; two brothers: Cheyenne Biggs of Highland, IN and Brian Biggs, Jr. of Gary, IN; three sisters: Nichole (Aaron) Moses of Georgia, Therica Reynolds of Virginia, and Brianna Biggs of Highland, IN; two stepbrothers: Stephen Haines of Gary, IN and Charles Haines of Gary, IN; one stepsister, Rineda Haines of Gary, IN; one surviving grandfather, Alwin Trotman of New Jersey. Alexcia was preceded in death by her mother, Charlyne Trotman Biggs in 2000; and sister, Alexzandria Trotman Biggs in 1992. She leaves behind a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and family and friends. Alexcia Biggs' family would like to give thanks to the agencies involved in her needs and special care: The doctors and nursing staff at Comer Children's Hospital, Fresenius Dialysis, Methodist Hospitals Northlake and Southlake, and finally, a special thanks to the Riley Children's Hospital staff in Indianapolis, IN. A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, May 31, 2012 at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039Kleinman Road, Highland, IN. Friends may visit with the family from 12:00 noon to 6:00 PM. Burial in Norbeck Cemetery in Silver Spring, MD at a later date.
