Moriah Zwart, a 20-year-old Le Sueur, Minn., woman who went missing near the Minnesota River on May 1, drowned, according to an autopsy.
She also had a blood-alcohol content of more than 0.08, said Dr. John Berg, the Le Sueur County medical examiner. He declined to specify the precise level of alcohol found in her blood.
A toxicology report, which would determine whether medication or other drugs were in her system, will not be completed for several weeks. The autopsy was conducted by the Ramsey County medical examiner.
Zwart's body was pulled from the river May 6, six days after she went missing. She was camping along the river with a 20-year-old friend.
Le Sueur County Sheriff David Tietz declined to provide details about the case, though he said no one has been charged or cited. He has said from the start that Zwart's death was not the result of foul play.
When asked if the supplier of the alcohol was part of his investigation, Tietz said "possibly."
