Authorities have identified the victim of a homicide Thursday in Allentown as a Wilmington, Delaware, man.

Tymel K. Kenney, 20, was pronounced dead at 10:37 a.m. at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, the Lehigh County Coroner's Office said Thursday night.

The cause was a gunshot wound to the body, and Coroner Scott Grim ruled the death a homicide, Chief Deputy Coroner Andrew Kehm said in a news release. An autopsy is scheduled Friday.

Kenney was shot and a woman was grazed by gunfire about 10:09 a.m. in the area of North Eighth and Washington streets in the city, police said.

The woman, who was not immediately identified by police, was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, city police Capt. Glen Dorney said.

No one was immediately reported in custody.

Witnesses reported seeing a green Jeep Liberty with a Pennsylvania license plate pull up to the intersection, one man get out and open fire, Dorney had said. The man got back into the vehicle and it drove off north on Eighth Street, police said.

Allentown police and the coroner's office were continuing to investigate the shooting with help from the Lehigh County District Attorney's Office.
