Lindsay J. Unruh, 28, of South Bend, passed away Sunday, September 5th, at 10:08 p.m. in the Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka, after a sudden illness. Lindsay was born February 5, 1982, in South Bend, IN, to her loving mother, Debra J. (Marvin) Shidaker, who survives.

She resided in the area her lifetime. She was a lovely homemaker who loved crafts, flowers and taking care of her grandparents.

Ms. Unruh leaves behind a sister, Sarah J. Stout of South Bend, IN; a stepbrother, Jason J. Shidaker of South Bend, IN; and her stepfather, Randy J. Shidaker of South Bend, IN. Also her fiancé, Philip K. Nemeth of Mishawaka, IN, as well as her maternal grandfather, William D. "Red" Marvin.

She was preceded in death by her father, James D. Unruh in 2003; and her maternal grandmother, Barbara A. Marvin, on June 20, 2009.

Lindsay was a wonderful niece and cousin to several aunts and uncles, whom she loved and cherished. She was a wonderful, loving daughter, sister, granddaughter and friend, who will be dearly missed by her loving family.

Visitation hours will be form 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, September 9, in Hanley & Sons "Southwest Chapel" Funeral Home, located at West Ireland Road/S.R. 23 in South Bend. Funeral services will take place Friday, September 10, at 11 a.m. in Hanley & Sons "Southwest Chapel" Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Southlawn Cemetery. PLEASE, in lieu of flowers, the family requests all memorial contributions be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
