The Monroe Police Dive Team recovered the body of a missing Rayville man Tuesday afternoon after he disappeared Tuesday morning in western Ouachita Parish.

Police say Clarence Dean Roy, Jr., 38, was working at a construction site on Brasher Avenue off Vancil Road when he apparently wandered off about 7:30 a.m.

His body was recovered in a private pond near the location where he was last seen.

Louisiana State Police helicopter air support, Louisiana Department of Corrections tracking dogs, volunteers and Ouachita Parish Sheriff's deputies searched the area for several hours before locating Roy.

According to the Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Office, Roy suffered from diabetes and may have been disoriented.

Foul play is not suspected.
