The victim killed in Wednesday morning's fatal shooting has been identified as 18-year-old Zachary M. Phillips of Colona, Ill.

Rock Island County Coroner Brian Gustafson says the preliminary cause of death is from a traumatic gun shot wound.

The second shooting victim, Erik Roberson, was taken to the hospital in Iowa City. Rock Island County States Attorney, John McGehee says at last check, Roberson was in critical condition.

A third person was in the car at the time of the shooting. Police say they were not injured.

Officials say 17-year-old Lamaree Wilson-Neuleib was arrested and charged with first degree murder and aggravated battery in connection to the shootings. His preliminary hearing is set for June 2, 2015.

The investigation is ongoing between Illinois State Police Crime Scene Investigative Unit, the Rock Island County Coroner and the Moline Police Department.
