At least one person was killed following a four-vehicle crash involving a semi in Pottawatomie County, Tuesday afternoon.

The crash occurred just south of Shawnee, near state highway 177 and Hardesty Rd.

The cause of the crash is not known at this time. Authorities confirmed Tishomingo resident Billy Arron Waugh, 56, the driver of a gray 2012 Nissan died at the scene. Four of the seven people involved in the crash were taken to a nearby hospital.
