A woman was killed and two people were injured in a three-vehicle crash in far eastern Franklin County on Tuesday evening.

The victim was identified early this morning as Dianndria Mendenhall, 38, of Pataskala.

The crash occurred just after 6 p.m. on E. Broad Street at Cabot's Mill Drive. Mendenhall was driving an SUV when she struck the back of an eastbound car on Broad Street, driven by Amber Sykes, 33, of eastern Franklin County. Sykes was waiting to turn left onto Cabot's Mill Drive, according to the Franklin County Sheriff's office.

The SUV driven by Mendenhall then spun into the westbound lanes, colliding with a pickup truck driven by Martin H. Davis III, 27, of Beavercreek, Ohio. Davis was taken in stable condition to OhioHealth Grant Medical Center. Sykes also was treated at a local hospital that wasn't named, and she was reported to be stable.

Mendenhall was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

Both Columbus police and deputies with the Franklin County sheriff's office were at the scene because it was unclear within whose jurisdiction the crash occurred. It appeared to be in either Jefferson Township or the city of Columbus, just north of Reynoldsburg.
