Authorities Friday identified a woman shot and killed by police, after her boyfriend called for help.
This happened Thursday night in Gardner, just southwest of Olathe.
Olathe police said in a news release that the boyfriend of Deanne Choate, 53, told dispatch she fired a handgun inside a home, police say two Gardner officers fired at Choate when they arrived.
She died at the scene, the officers were not injured.
Authorities have released no other details about what led up to the shooting.
