Jason A. Lapiin, age 34, passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2015. He was born Jason M. Crook on March 27, 1981, in Dodgeville, the son of Jerry and Mary (Weitzel) Crook. Jason was united in marriage to Kathleen Muraski on June 9, 2012. He was a graduate of River Valley High School and continued his education earning an associate degree in Web Programming in 2013. He had a variety of interests including the outdoors, technology and music, but truly treasured most the time he spent with his family and friends. Jason is survived by his wife, Kathleen; his mother, Mary Crook; and his siblings, Sean, Shane (Jolene), Courtney (Dan), Lindsay (Nate) and Brandon (Jenny). He was preceded in death by his father Jerry. A Celebration of Jason's Life will be held at GUNDERSON WEST FUNERAL & CREMATION CARE, 7435 University Ave., Middleton beginning at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 22, 2015. Sharing of memories with Chaplain Stephen Zwettler will be held at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to NAMI of Dane County. Jason touched many lives and will be deeply missed.
