Joshua Blake Otis was born June 9, 1995 in Kansas City, Missouri and departed this life on June 16, 2014 at his home in Lee's Summit, Missouri at the age of 19 years and 7 days. He was the son of Farrah Brandy Otis and Jayson Bohnstehn.
Joshua was a lifetime resident of Lee's Summit, Missouri and was a 2013 graduate of Raytown High School. In his younger years, Joshua had attended Greenwood Baptist Church in Greenwood, Missouri. At the time of his death, he was employed as a cook for Sonic in Lee's Summit, Missouri.
Joshua is survived by his mother, Farrah Brandy Otis of the home; his father, Jayson Bohnstehn of Twin Falls, Idaho; grandparents, Sandy Otis and Frank Otis both of Lee's Summit, Missouri; two brothers, Christian and Kevyn Bohnstehn both of Twin Falls, Idaho; one sister, Jamie Lyons-Otis of the home; one step-sister, Kasie Marie Lyons of Liberty, Missouri; one aunt, Candy Otis of Lee's Summit, Missouri; three uncles, Farron Otis of Greenwood, Missouri, Flint Otis of Gain Valley, Missouri and Donald McCauley of Liberty, Missouri; other relatives and many, many friends.
Funeral Service for Joshua Blake Otis will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 20, 2014 at the Wallace Funeral Home in Pleasant Hill, Missouri with Pastor Rick Friesen, officiating. Casket Bearers will be Josh Kennedy, Bart McLellan, Thomas King, Sparky Graham, James Campbell and Ricky Hobbs. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
