One person was killed and another person was injured in a fiery crash on Highway 13 near Clarksville early Thursday morning.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol reported that Krysten Jobes, 25, of Crofton, KY, died after the SUV she was driving crashed, rolled and caught fire.

Troopers said the Jones was traveling south when the vehicle gradually traveled off the roadway. The SUV struck a speed limit sign and construction sign before the front right wheel hit a culvert and caused the vehicle to flip onto the driver's side.

A motorist driving by stopped and knocked out the back window. The motorist was able to pull the passenger, Miranda Moore, from the vehicle. The passerby tried to rescue Jobes, but she was stuck.

The vehicle caught fire and took over the vehicle.

Alcohol may have played a role in the crash, according to the preliminary report.
