The medical examiner determines the cause of Tayler Lindsey Harsch Burruss' death is a homicide.
Officials say the manner of how the 23-year-old Palmyra woman died is still under investigation by the Medical Examiner's Office and that the results may take several weeks to determine.
Deputies arrested her husband, 33-year-old Franklin Lee Burruss, after detectives found Tayler's body inside a home on Jefferson Drive in the Lake Monticello neighborhood on Saturday, September 5.
Franklin Burruss is charged with first degree murder in connection to her death.
Burruss was in Fluvanna County General and Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court for a hearing Wednesday morning. His case was continued until September 16 to allow him time to get an attorney. The suspect's family said in court that they are trying to retain their own legal counsel for Burruss.
