Marci Lyman Bowen was born on May 3rd, 1975, in Monticello, UT. She was the youngest of eight children born to Francis and DaNece Lyman of Blanding, UT. While studying secondary education at Southern Utah University, Marci met Brian Mathew Bowen. They were married on July 19th, 1997 and later sealed in the LDS Jordan River Temple. Together they welcomed five beautiful children into their family: McKenna (18), Jensen (15), Jake (12), Ellie (11), and Launa (7). Marci's children were her greatest joy and she was noted for doing all she could to make happy occasions special for them; Marci loved being a mom. Her love of cooking, baking, sewing and crafting was enjoyed by her family and so many more as she was always willing to share her talents and serve those around her.
Marci was continually positive even in those final weeks of life. She believed in counting her blessings. Marci passed away after nobly fighting gastric cancer for 15 months.
She was preceded in death by her father; and by her sister, LeAnn Lyman Hall. Marci left a lasting legacy of love and will be deeply and greatly mourned. Marci and her family are members of the Harmony LDS Ward.
