Steven J. Skaggs, 45, of Madison, Wis., passed away Monday, Dec. 14, 2015, after a brief battle with brain cancer. He was born in West Virginia on Aug.18, 1970, and was the son of Tom and Linda Skaggs of Berlin Heights. He attended The Ohio State University after graduating from Edison High School in 1988. He was working toward a master's degree in international business and marketing at Edgewood College in Wisconsin at the time of his passing. Steve worked for Springs Window Fashions in Middleton, Wis., as a merchandising manager. He had a passion for cars and traveling, and loved spending time with his family, especially his 8-year-old daughter Addison, whom he loved dearly. Steve's warm smile and kind nature was known and adored by many neighbors in the Marquette neighborhood.
In addition to his parents, Steve is survived by his husband, Lynn Lee; daughter, Addison Lee; sister, Michelle (David) Girvin of Sandusky; brother, Tom Jr. (Shelley) of Berlin Heights; mother-in-law, Maryion Lee of Flushing, brother-in-law, Lindsey(Beth Rosen) Lee, sister-in-law, Megan Lee; nieces, Emily (Chris) Yontz, Mariah Skaggs, Freya Lee, and Marissa Skaggs; nephews, Ian Edwards, Theodore Lee, Marlin Lee, and Luke Skaggs; great-nephew, Logan Yontz; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by Lynn's maternal grandmother, Martha Pauline Lindsey in 2013, his maternal grandmother, Annie Williams in 2012; Lynn's Father, Sheridan Lee in 2011, and his niece, Hannah Edwards in 2001.
