The victim of a homicide on Green Bay's east side has been identified as 25-year-old Ricardo Gomez, according to Green Bay Police.

A warrant has been issued for Richard Michael Arrington for First Degree Intentional Homicide, police say.

Police say Arrington is considered "armed and extremely dangerous." If you see Arrington, do not approach him. Call your local law enforcement.

"I believe he's from the Milwaukee area, however he did attend school here in Green Bay and he does reside in Green Bay also," said Lt. Keith Gering, Green Bay Police Dept.

On April 2, the Green Bay Police Department responded to a residence at 1138 Day Street for a report of gun shots.

Police found the victim Gomez inside the home. He was taken to a local hospital where he died.

Investigators believe Gomez may have been an "innocent bystander" at the scene.

"Some of the information our detectives were able to develop is that he [Gomez] was possibly there to see someone else that was inside the residence that we believe that the actual suspect was looking for," Gering said.

In addition to Arrington, police say they have identified several people that may have been involved in the shooting.

The department says the shooting was not a random act of violence.

When asked if the crime was gang-related or drug-related, Lt. Gering said, "At this time our officers are working hard on some of the possible leads. We can't divulge any of that information because it's an ongoing investigation. However, we do believe it's part of an ongoing dispute between the parties involved."
