Police say an arrest has been made after the body of a woman was found on the campus of a community college in west Michigan.

Police say officers found the body about 2:50 a.m. Saturday near shrubs and bushes at Grand Rapids Community College. A witness reported seeing a man dragging what appeared to be a body near a main building and parking ramp. The death was investigated as a homicide.

Police on Monday announced an arrest and said an afternoon news conference is planned.

On a GoFundMe page, the victim is identified as 34-year-old Jeanne Huntoon. Debbie Huntoon says she is her mother, and she received the heartbreaking news while working Saturday.

GRCC said Monday afternoon, Huntoon was accepted to the school in 2006, but never registered for any classes. The college also said other than location, there is no connection between the school and the homicide.
