Shane Roland Walsh, born July 31, 1991, from Derry NH, passed away Tuesday morning after a long battle with the disease of addiction. Shane worked very hard and had 16 months of living a sober life with the help of many incredible people. He was loved by so many people and he loved so many with all he had. His light shown to everyone he came across.

He enjoyed spending time with his parents and his sister and her family, and with family that meant so much to him. Shane loved to learn new things and to learn them to their fullest, from the intricacies of shark life to how to understand which athletes would best benefit their teams. He was employed with Market Basket warehouse for the past 3 years, but had been with the company since he was 14 years old, in which he took great pride.

Shane is survived by his parents Lisa and Gary Walsh, with whom he resided. His sister Amanda Weaver, brother-in-law Jason Weaver, and nephew Micah Weaver. He also leaves his Grandmother Irene Gagne, Grandmother Patricia Jillett-Giannino, his Grandparents Francis and Claire Walsh. He was preceded in passing by his Grandfather Roland Gagne. He also leaves behind many aunts and uncles, cousins, and many friends that loved him dearly.

Visiting hours will be held Sunday, May 8, 2016 from 3:00pm to 7:00pm in the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem. Cremation will follow. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, May 10th at 6:00pm in the Granite United Church, 1 Sand Hill Road, Salem.
