A Memorial Service for Kayla S. Dunrud daughter of Gregory Dunrud and Jill (Fritsinger) Grant; of Grand Forks, ND and formerly of Baudette, MN, will be held on Friday, March 11, 2016 at 2:00PM at First Lutheran Church in Baudette, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be held at a later date in Elm Park Cemetery in Baudette, MN .

Kayla Sue Dunrud, age 27 of Grand Forks, ND formerly of Baudette, passed away on Thursday, March 3rd surrounded by family and friends. She was born to Greg Dunrud and Jill Grant on November 15th, 1988 in Bemidji, MN.

Kayla attended Lake of the Woods School, graduating valedictorian of her class in 2007, before attending the University of North Dakota. While there she was in the Honor's Program and was majoring in Psychology. Currently she was working at Amazon as a Customer Service Associate.

Spending time with family and friends was Kayla's passion. She had a heart of gold and made a special impression on everyone she met. Kayla was hard to forget. Her smile was infectious, always making everyone's day little better.

Kayla is survived by her parents; Greg Dunrud and Jill Grant of Baudette, sister Briana Dunrud (Grant Satrom) of Grand Forks, ND, and brother Brady Dunrud of Baudette. She also leaves behind her special friend Dustin Marto, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.

She is preceded in death by both sets of her grandparents; Morris & Jeanette Dunrud, and Alvin & Rose Fritsinger, her uncle Bill Fritsinger, and Barbara "Susie" Swentik.

Kayla will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends.
