A mobile home fire in the 900 block of Bibler Street in Lebanon left one man dead and two others injured early Saturday morning.

Chuck Batts, chief of the Lebanon Fire Department, confirmed David Dickerson, 44, was pronounced dead at the scene. Dickerson's wife and a cousin, whose names have not been released, were also in the mobile home at the time of the fire. The wife was taken to Eskenazi Hospital in Indianapolis and the cousin was taken to Witham Memorial Hospital in Lebanon for minor injuries.

Three officers from the Lebanon Police Department and the Boone County Sheriff's Department arrived at the scene first after multiple 9-1-1 calls were made around 1:30 a.m. Police attempted to get in the mobile home after confirming three occupants were trapped inside. However, the high heat, smoke and flames prevented the officers from getting inside the residence.

Batts said Dickerson's wife and cousin were able to get themselves out of the home.

Police who responded to the fire went to and have been released from Witham Hospital for minor injuries.

No firefighters were injured on the scene.

Authorities are still investigating the cause of the fire.
