I lost my big brother Stanton on March 27, 2016. I would say he took his own life on March 27, 2016, but the fact of the matter is that he took a part of my life, my little brother's life, my older brother's life, and a large part of my parents' lives.
I love my brother. I always have and always will. I don't want this page to mirror that of an obituary because that will come later. This is a page that depicts just a tidbit of the Stanton I know as a big brother and friend.
The four Gagel brothers. We were a power team for sure. When the Gagel clan would get together at my parents' house for Sunday dinner the laughs were endless. We had a sense of humor that was so in tune with each other it was like we've been practicing together for 20+ years. To be exact my brothers' ages are 30 (Christian), 28 (Stanton), 26 (me), and 16 days from 23 (Colton). An evening at the Gagel dining table was an evening of conversations on politics, religion, health and fitness, current events, history, physics, calculus, sociology, accounting, statistics, and relationships. The best parts of these conversations were not the breadth or depth of the topics but rather of the differing opinions and genuine interest in what each other had to say … but more primarily the gold was in the brotherly insults made throughout the entire evening that would get us all laughing to tears making
