Thank you for taking the time to read the story of my beautiful sister Ashlee.
Newlywed in October to her strong husband Charles, no one expected the end of their fairy tale to come so soon. What should have been a happily ever after with a first stop to Italy, ended with a "goodbye" and "I love you" here in the States.
After my sister married the man of her dreams in October of 2015 and flew off to Italy with him she quickly came home in January the following year. On my birthday, January 20th, my family and I would find out that the doctor's for 2 years have missed cancer growing in her body. After many flights back and forth from Italy to the States with my sister and Charles we were in it till the end to battle off this Cervical Cancer that had already spread to most other parts of her body.
My sister NEVER gave up, NEVER showed fear, and ALWAYS stayed strong.
On Tuesday, May 10th, my sister and dad went to a regular doctor visit to help with pain management. The doctor sent them to the ER for her irregular pain and from there she was admitted into the hospital. They said she would make it home in about a week or so, but no one ever knows how much time they have left here.
A week later my sister was spending her 27th birthday in a hospital bed surrounded by family and friends who love her dearly.
During most of Ashlee's treatments her husband Charles had to be in Italy due to his work contract. If you are married or have a love one you can probably imagine the pain he felt having to be oceans away from his bride as she goes through chemo and hospital stays. However this brave man did what he needed to do to provide for my sister and her medical needs.
By the following weekend we were told that although Ashlee's spirit was strong and fighting, her body here on earth was failing her. We told Charles to take the next flight home back to the states.
We told Ashlee her sweet Charles was on his way and she fought off her pain for 2 days. She wanted so desperately to see her groom with a well mind and be aware when he was there.
On May 23rd Charles flew over a days worth of flights and went straight from the airport to the hospital to see his wife. It was three days later that my sister, in the comfort of our God and her husband passed to be in Heaven.
Although this seems to be the roughest times my family has faced we have been overwhelmed by the amount of love and support our family, friends, and even strangers have provided us with.
During this time I ask that if you are lead to help in more ways than prayer that you would consider supporting Ashlee's needs and what she would want to leave her husband as well.

As her sister, I can not thank you enough for taking the time to listen to just a small fraction of Ashlee's story. She was such a beautiful soul and we are so grateful for everyone's support in this trial of life.
