The family of Lakeisha Lewis, 23, is trying to find a way to overcome the grief they are feeling after Lewis, a mother of three, was killed in north Houston early Tuesday morning.

Darrell Mitchell, 28, surrendered overnight. Investigators say he fatally shot his ex-girlfriend, Lewis in a jealous rage. Mitchell is also accused of stabbing Lewis' boyfriend Johnel Francis, 24.

"We planning on forgiveness and healing right now," the family told us.
