Flower Mound police have identified the man killed in a motorcycle crash Monday night as Jon Neil Derichsweiler, a 27-year-old Lewisville resident.

Officer Paul Boon of the Flower Mound Police Department said Derichsweiler was traveling south on FM 2499 near the intersection of Gerault Road when he lost control of his 2015 Harley Davidson motorcycle and crashed around 11:43 p.m.


Derichsweiler was transported to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Grapevine, where he was pronounced dead.

Boon said a witness told police that he saw Derichsweiler fall off, hitting his head. The report stated Derichsweiler was not wearing a helmet.
