Steve Fisher, age 36, of Marengo died unexpectedly Thursday, June 23, 2016 at his home.

He was born on September 19, 1979 at Marion General Hospital the son of Mike Fisher of Marengo and the late Nanette (Needels) Fisher.

Steve was a graduate of Cardington Lincoln High School and attended Marion Technical College before deciding he wanted to go into business for himself.

He owned and operated Steve's Painting Service where he specialized in both commercial and residential painting.

He was a very passionate pool player and he, along with his dad, were members of the APA and the NAPA.

He was a huge sports fan, particularly The Ohio State Buckeyes and followed their football and basketball teams religiously.

Steve will be remembered as a big joker and always the life of the party, yet was responsible and independent as well. He was very likable and never met a stranger.

In addition to his dad Mike and his fiancé Genie Day, he will be missed by his children Karley and Kacen; his sister Ashley Fisher; his nephew Jeffrey Pina-Fisher; grandmothers Blondena Fisher and Sharyn Needels; aunts Cindy Counts, Debbie Exline, Selina Walker, Melanie Greenawalt, Michelle Johnson, Kim Holycross; Uncles George Fisher Jr., David "Hoss" Greenawalt Jr., and Chris Needles; his close friend and business partner Adam Francis; and many cousins, friends, and pool buddies.

In addition to his mother Nanette, he was preceded in death by his grandfathers George Fisher and George Needels; and his uncle Wally Fisher.
