John C. "Bubba" Carter

Beloved son, grandson, brother and friend

John C. "Bubba" Carter, 18, of Pelham, NH, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 16th in Londonderry, NH after a long and hard battle with drug addiction. He was the beloved son of Alfred J. "Jack" Carter of Nashua and Sheryl A. Mercier and her fiancé Mark Coughlin of Pelham.
Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, October 10, 1997, he attended Pelham schools and was a graduate of Pelham High School.
Most recently, Bubba was employed as a delivery driver with Pelham House of Pizza.
Bubba had an infectious smile and big blue eyes. He enjoyed spending time with his family and large group of close friends. He loved snowboarding, camping and outings to the White Mountains. He had a contagious laugh that made everyone smile. Children and animals all gravitated to him because of his kind nature and warm heart.
For the past few years he fought bravely with his addiction, attempting to maintain a life of sobriety so that he could fulfill all of the hopes and dreams he has had since he was a child. He had a heart of gold but the battle he fought was too overwhelming. His family mourns for all the things that could have been. If there is anything they pray for, it is that no other family has to go through the hell of losing their child to this disease. He will be greatly missed by so many that were truly proud of him. We will miss you Bubba. Godspeed and fly high little buddy until we meet again.
In addition to his parents, Bubba is survived by two sisters Samantha Carter of Lowell, MA and Kailynd Biggar and her husband Mark of Bedford, NH; a brother Roger Larochelle and his wife Ashley of Hudson, NH; his maternal grandparents James and Mary Mercier of Nashua, NH; his paternal grandfather Alfred Carter and his wife Debbie of NC; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.
He was also grandson of the late Mary Jo Carter who died June 30, 2016 and great-grandson of the late Alfred L. Carter and the late Albina Cardoza.
