Nick Lewis, chef at Blackbird Public House, was killed in a shooting in Englewood on Saturday, October 1 in the evening. He was found in the 3000 block of South Acoma Street a little before 9 p.m., according to the Englewood Police Department, as reported by KDVR. He had been shot multiple times and was rushed to the hospital where medical personnel pronounced him dead.

Many of you now know that we lost our chef and good friend, Nick Lewis, on Saturday night. Those that knew Nick are having a hard time understanding how such a kind and gentle person could be taken from us in such a violent manner. The loss of Chef Nick leaves a hole in all of our hearts. Rest in peace Chef Nick. We miss you.

A native of Florida, Lewis was only 33 and had a young child. He previously worked at the Denver Biscuit Company. There is no word on the identify or whereabouts of the shooter.
