My baby sister Karin had many tumultuous years in life. Each hardball thrown at her met with an unrelenting battle for victory. Unfortunately some battles are easier won and easier to finance. After working for years toward her masters degree in special education while raising an incredible son as a single mom, Karin finally reached the pinnacle she strived so hard to achieve.
She met and married the most caring and loving man and loved his two daughters as her own. She helped her son through his own turmoil and saw him graduate with a bachelors degree and settle into a job he loves. She found tjr job she worked toward her whole life... A kindergarten teacher with a class who loved her. Then the unthinkable happened. After feeling ill for quite some time with no relief from her primary care doctor's treatments, she went to the hospital in excruciating pain and was told she had lung cancer...and that it had spread to multiple organs. She has so many things left to do and see. She wants to change the lives of her students, see her son grow and succeed and explore the world with the man she loves. The costs incurred for travel from her home in Rochester to NYC for treatment are quickly accumulating as are costs for treatments, special needs while at home and regular bills that need paying.
