Ithaca police charged a 23-year-old man with murder Monday in the death of Anthony Nazaire, a young student from Brooklyn who was fatally stabbed at a party on Cornell's upstate campus at the start of the fall semester.

Chief of Police John Barber said officers arrested Nagee Green, of Freeville, New York, and charged him with Nazaire's Aug. 28 stabbing death.

The 23-year-old was picked up as he waited for a bus, the police chief said. He was also hit with one count of second-degree assault for stabbing a second victim, who survived.

Barber said there might be additional charges and police were not searching for any additional suspects.
